The M.2 SHIELD FROZR can efficiently cool the heat generated from SSDs by mounting aluminum material parts on the M.2 module. It boasts higher cooling performance than the conventional M.2 SHIELD, and can suppress the slowdown of SSD due to heat.

The X299 XPOWER GAMING AC, which is the highest among MSI's X299-equipped motherboards, has three M.2 slots, one of which is compatible with the M.2 SHILED FROZR. You can also add two more M.2 slots by installing the included "M.2 Xpander-Z" in the PCI Express slot.

The feature of X299 GAMING PRO CARBON AC is that the four resin parts of the motherboard can be replaced with parts created by a 3D printer. In addition to some replacement parts, 3D data will also be released.

The X299 TOMAHAWK is an entry-level product for Z299-equipped gaming mothers and has two M.2 slots, but only one M.2 SHIELD FROZR can be used.

The X299 SLI PLUS is for servers / workstations and features two LANs. It has two M.2 slots, but M.2 SHIELD FROZR is not supported.

"X299 XPOWER GAMING AC" is the top of the X299-equipped motherboard.
