Tap the microphone button at the bottom right of the software keyboard to enter text in the style of dictation. This is "voice input" and can be used with most apps that support key input. Similar to Siri, but iPhone 6s and later models can use the voice / character conversion engine found on the iPhone, so an internet connection is not required.
The voice input supports many languages such as German, French, and Italian in addition to English and Japanese. Languages with large dialect differences are also distinguished, such as Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) and Spanish (Mexico / Spain), so listening performance can be maintained.
Its voice input language is linked to the software keyboard. If you want to use Japanese voice input, you must have a Japanese keyboard available, and for German, you must have a German keyboard available. Conversely, if you have a language you want to use for voice input, start by enabling the software keyboard for that language.
To add a software keyboard, open the screen in the order of "Settings" → "General" → "Keyboard" → "Keyboard", and tap "Add new keyboard ..." on the screen that appears.
However, just because you can add a software keyboard doesn't mean that the language supports voice input. Languages that can be input by voice are almost equal to the languages supported by the voice assistant function "Siri", so languages that Siri does not support (eg Azerbaijani, Welsh) cannot be used. The "Voice input language" screen in "Settings"-> "General"-> "Keyboard" is also for selecting a language that has been added as a software keyboard and supports voice input, and voice input can be set only on this screen. It does not mean.
